Shorthand software
StenoPro – Shorthand Software for Dictation and Transcription Practice
StenoPro by Divyansh is a browser-based shorthand software built around one simple loop: listen to a dictation, transcribe it, and see exactly where you lost speed or accuracy.
It is made for shorthand learners preparing for stenographer recruitment exams, and for working stenographers who want structured daily practice instead of random audio files.
What you can do inside StenoPro
- Practise from a library of audio dictations with adjustable playback speed
- Type your transcription in the built-in editor and get a word-by-word comparison
- See WPM, accuracy percentage and mistake lists after every attempt
- Track practice history so you can compare today's attempt with last week's
- Take timed typing tests and formatting tests alongside shorthand work
- Practise Pitman outlines and convert text to Pitman for reading practice
Why software beats loose audio files
Most learners practise with downloaded MP3s and a word processor. That works, but nothing is measured — you never know whether your accuracy is improving at a given speed.
StenoPro keeps every attempt: the passage, your transcript, the mistakes it found, and the speed you attempted it at. Over a few weeks that history becomes the most useful part of your preparation, because it tells you which speed you should actually be drilling.
Who it is for
- SSC Stenographer Grade C and D aspirants
- State-level stenographer and court reporter aspirants
- Shorthand institute students who need practice between classes

- No. StenoPro runs in the browser and can also be installed as an app on a phone or laptop from the browser's install option.
- Can I change the dictation speed?
- Yes. Playback speed is adjustable, so the same passage can be used for slower revision or for pushing above your current speed.
